Five of a family killed in Sehwan truck-rickshaw collision

Five Karachiites were riding a rickshaw which was completely destroyed in the accident; no FIR lodged

HYDERABAD: A mini-truck crashed into a rickshaw on Indus Highway in Sehwan, leaving five members of a family dead and four others wounded on early hours of Sunday morning.

According to Sehwan police SHO, five Karachiites – two men, two women and a child – were killed  when the truck collided with the rickshaw near Laki Shah in Jamshoro district.

The rickshaw, which was carrying passengers over its capacity, was completely pressed.

The injured, including the truck driver and cleaner, were shifted to Taluka Hospital Sehwan.

Names of the deceased, provided to The Express Tribune by hospital sources, included Ahmad, 45; Nasir, 40; Salma, 30; Maryam, 19; and four-year-old Ghazi.

No FIR has been lodged with the police yet.
