ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Friday allowed the additional attorney general and an additional deputy commissioner of Islamabad to present their arguments and evidence, respectively, over a report in which the latter had recommended extraditing US citizen of Pakistani origin in a terrorism-related case.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui directed the AAG Afnan Karim Kundi and Islamabad Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Sattar Isani, to argue over the matter and produce evidence which led to their decision of recommending Talha Haroon for extradition to the US for allegedly facilitating Da’esh (Islamic State). The court also directed the petitioner’s counsel to present arguments in the case.

On Friday, Kundi and Isani appeared before the court and sought time for producing evidence their court. Justice Siddiqui allowed the request and adjourned the matter for hearing after the court’s summer vacations end.
