ISLAMABAD: A recent study has revealed that the candidates clearing the Central Superior Service (CSS) and the Punjab Civil Service (PCS) written examinations declared prominent social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi, former army chief General Raheel Sharif and renowned police officer Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema as their ideal personalities.

The study indicates that the young candidates are passionate about serving their countrymen and committed to bringing extraordinary changes in the system.

When asked about which personalities inspire them the most, the majority named the former inspector general of police Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema as their ideal.

They were of the view that Cheema was successful in bringing peace, order and justice wherever he served during his entire career. He established the rule of law very effectively, improving the overall image of the police by his performance, and bringing marked improvement in every organisation he headed.

Other ideal personalities of the candidates included Abdul Sattar Edhi for his unparalleled social services, former army chief General Raheel Sharif for a successful operation against terrorism, and Akhhuwat Foundation chief Dr Amjad Saqib for providing interest-free loans.

The study also noted significant improvement in the candidates in terms of their command over the English language. However, their knowledge about Pakistan and Islamic Studies was not found up to the mark.
