ISLAMABAD: The Mayor of Islamabad and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz has said that after revamping the Machinery Pool Organisation (MPO), as much as 116 kilometres of road have either been repaired or carpeted.

Aiming for self-reliance and self-sustainability, Aziz said that all formations of CDA and the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) were being strengthened both financially and administratively

He added that they had built 116 Kilometer of roads in the capital including the Constitution Avenue, Pir Sohawa, Sector G-8 roundabout, Secretariat Blocks, Sector D-12, Convention Centre, Diplomatic Enclave, Service Road (North) Sector E-11, Khyaban-e-Suherawardi, Serena Chowk, VIP Loop, Faizabad Chowk, Khayaban-e-Iqbal and Margalla Road had been carpeted.
