21 drug pushers rounded up 

Police also confiscated 5,950 grammes of hashish, 225 bottles of liquor and seven pistols with 19 rounds

Police claimed to have arrested 21 drug pushers and seized narcotics and illegal weapons from them in Sargodha on Thursday.

Police said the accused were identified as Imran Mehdi, Gul Khan, Asif Mehmood, Sheraz, Sharif, Adil, Ikramullah, Muhammad Waqas, Muhammad Javed, Hayat, Muhammad Aftab, Abdullah and others. The police also confiscated 5,950 grammes of hashish, 225 bottles of liquor and seven pistols with 19 rounds.

Earlier, the Islamabad Police arrested 11 outlaws, including four drug pushers, from various areas of the city and recovered 1.85 kilogrammes of hashish, stolen cash and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following directions from SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani to ensure high vigilance against drug pushers, Aabpara police arrested Riaz Masih for carrying 1.1 kilogrammes of hashish.

Karachi Company police’s Fiaz Ahmed arrested Wajahat Hussain and recovered 50 grammes of hashish from him.



Tarnol Police’s Muhammad Iqbal arrested Nosher Khan for carrying 350 grammes of hashish while Sub Shehzad Town police nabbed Asghar for possessing 350 grammes of hashish.

CIA police arrested Haleem and recovered a stolen mobile from him.

Koral police recovered 30 bore pistol from Jameel while a 32 bore revolver and ammunition was recovered from Nasir Khan.

During a routine patrol, a squad of the Sihala police arrested Ismail and Ishfaq for carrying a 30 bore pistol each along with ammunition.

Shalimar police caught Majid Nadeem and Waqas who were involved in gambling activities. Officials recovered the gambling money as well as gambling tools from them.

Cases have been registered against these suspects and further investigations are underway.
