Denying visas: Sikh community protests against Indian govt

Indian rail authorities prevented some 300 Sikh pilgrims to enter Pakistan

A large number of people from the Sikh community protested against the Indian government for not allowing Sikh pilgrims to visit Pakistan to attend death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh.

They gathered at the Gurdwara Dehra Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev to register their protest against the stubborn attitude of the Modi government.

They were holding banners and placards, inscribing messages against India.

The Sikh community leaders said that the Indian government had committed violation of the United Nations (UN) regulations.

On Wednesday, the Indian rail authorities prevented some 300 Sikh pilgrims to enter Pakistan through Pakistan Railways Special Pilgrim Train.

The PR had prepared a special train for Sikh pilgrims, who wanted to participate in the 10-day religious event.
