ISLAMABAD: A large number of people working in emergency departments celebrated Eid at work places rendering duties to facilitate general public and ensuring their safety.

On Eid, government announced holidays from Monday to Wednesday, but people took two days extra leaves clubbing the weekend before Eid to make a nine-day holiday package.

However, people working in trauma centres of hospitals, police, traffic police officials, airport, and railways were on job while the nation celebrated Eid.

Clashes hit held Kashmir on Eid

In the private sector, media workers worked through the festive day. Similarly employees at filling stations and stores had no day off.

Asif Ilyas a media worker sharing his remarks said his family had gone to Attock to spend Eid in the hometown. He had to work for the three days of Eid.

"We change duty every year on rotation basis so that office and family affairs can be managed with balance and this time it is my turn", he stated.
