Three shot dead over enmity in Chakwal  

Three unidentified outlaws intercepted their vehicle and opened fire on them.

CHAKWAL: At least three people belonging to a family were shot dead in Dhoke Qazi Village in the area of Sadar Police Station on Sunday.

A police official said Ghulam Ali, 70, his son Shabir Haider, 40, 12-year-old Zeeshan Haider and Usman Haider, 3, were on their way to a nearby village when three unidentified outlaws intercepted their vehicle and opened fire on them.

As a result, Ghulam Ali, Shabir and Zeeshan were killed on the spot while Usman suffered bullet injuries.

Soon after the incident, Rescue 1122 officials and police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital, Talagang.

Meanwhile, the police said the incident occurred due to an old enmity between accused Rabnawaz and Ghulam Ali. They added both rivals had registered several cases against each other during the last 23 years.

The police have registered a case and started investigation.
