ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police arrested 19 beggars and three suspects from various area of the city, a police spokesman said.

Islamabad police have launched a special campaign to crack rings of professional beggars to curb this curse following the directions from SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani.

As per directives child beggars were shifted to shelters homes and protection centres for their proper upbringing and making them responsible citizen. He has directed all SPs to keep vigilant eye against beggars outside mosques, Imambargahs as well as at markets and ensure arrest of professional vagrants.

Concerned citizen have urged SSP Kiani to look into the matter of human trafficking and kidnaping of children for use in begging in the heinous racket of professional beggars.
