Rescue workers sharpen their skills in training

A three-day course to strengthen the capacity and enhance incident command management skills of station coordinators of the Punjab Emergency Service concluded on Saturday.

Station coordinators from across the province participated in the course which covered incident command system and levels, incident risk philosophy and management, incident management strategies and tactics, simulation exercises, debriefing and documentation,  followed by evaluation.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the course, Punjab Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer asked participants about the tactics they had learnt.

The DG said that these courses would play a vital role in maintaining standards of the service and ensuring the safety of communities.

He announced that those rescue workers who would perform at their best would be awarded cash prizes from the start of next month.
