Emergency services: Rescue exercise at Canal

Rescue 1122 officials conducts mock rescue exercises at the Canal in front of the Punjab University new campus.

LAHORE: Rescue 1122 officials on Tuesday conducted mock rescue exercises at the Canal in front of the Punjab University new campus.

A large crowd of people gathered at the scene to witness the 1122 officials attempting to rescue dummies drowning in the canal. Rescue 1122 director general Dr Rizwan Naseer said that the service would soon arrange a water sports competition in collaboration with the Punjab University.

PU student affairs advisor Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry urged Rescue 1122 to train volunteer students.
