FIA arrests two illegal forex dealers

The team recovered around 40,000 Pakistani currency, cheque books, ledgers, receipts and other documents

LAHORE:  

The FIA Corporate Crime Circle Lahore claimed to have arrested two men during separate raids in different parts of the city for their alleged involvement in running illegal business of currency exchange/hundi hawala.

The team conducted the first raid at the Al-Rasheed Centre, Shahalam Market, andtook Sabit Ali into their custody.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the team recovered around 40,000 Pakistani currency, cheque books, ledgers, receipts and other documents pertaining to hundi/hawala.

In the second raid, they conducted a raid in Fazalia Colony area of Ferozepur Road and arrested Abdul Subhan.

They recovered Rs490,000 Pakistani currency, cheque books, ledgers and other related documents from his possession.
