ABBOTTABAD: The civil administration was bracing itself for the bulge in traffic in the last 10 days of Ramazan and Eid. Homecoming of populace working out of town before Eid creates a traffic mess. Buses from across Pakistan head to Abottabad division hauling thousands of people to hometowns for Eid. After Eid they head beack to wrok and another rus of tourists comes to the sceninc hills of the division. To handle thios situation, District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ishfaq Ahmed on Thursday chaired a meeting regarding traffic issues of Abbottabad city during the last 10 days of Ramazan and Eidul Fitr. In the meeting a new traffic plan for commercial and tourist attraction areas of Abbottabad was discussed in detail. The meeting decided to remove the illegal bus stands and U turns from all over the city. The DPO directed traffic police to strictly implement traffic rules and bound the vehicles for parking areas rather than parking on roads and other places. DPO also directed traffic in-charge to immediately shift the building construction material from roads sides.
