UET approves Rs3.65 billion budget

A total of Rs1 billion will go into improving matters at the UET Lahore campus.

The University of Engineering and Technology Lahore syndicate has approved a Rs3.651 billion budget with a deficit of Rs171.861 for 2017-2018.

UET Lahore Vice-Chancellor Fazal Ahmed Khalid discussed the budget in a meeting held on Thursday.

Treasurer Imran Babar explained that a sum of Rs4841.285 million has been allocated for development projects and it included Rs1340.785 million for the establishment of the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore sub campus in Narowal.

At the same time, Rs73.500 million was set aside for setting up the Centre for Energy Research and Development at KSK Campus of UET Lahore.

A total of Rs1 billion will go into improving matters at the UET Lahore campus.

Moreover, Rs150,956 million have been approved for scholarships to students.
