PPP will stand with victimised institutions: Siyal

HYDERABAD: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will stand in support of any institution that has been victimised by Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz's (PML-N) federal government. "[PPP Chairperson] Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has declared that if attempts are made to destabilise any institution, our party will stand in good stead by that institution," he said on Sunday while talking to traders and the media in Tando Allahyar district.



Siyal accused PML-N of allegedly trying to weaken the country’s institutions, a reference to the friction between the PML-N and the Supreme Court constituted joint investigation team probing the Panama case. "They [PML-N] earlier distributed sweets [after April 20 verdict of the apex court]. But now they are trying to discredit the JIT," he said.

He went on to accuse the party's federal government of failing to address the public’s issues, while holding it responsible for the power outages in Sindh. The home minister assured the local traders that their complaints regarding crime and traffic will be resolved soon.
