Security improving in Lasbela, says IGFC South

Says is a direct result of improved intelligence sharing and joint action against criminals and anti-state elements

QUETTA: The law and order situation in Lasbela, the second largest industrial town in Balochistan, has improved, Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) South Balochistan Major-General Sardar Tariq Aman said on Sunday.

He was speaking with industrialists at Leda Rest House during a briefing arranged by the Deputy Commissioner of Lasbela.

He said that the improvement in the security situation was the direct result of improved intelligence sharing and joint action against criminals and anti-state elements.

Briefing the participants, he said that FC Balochistan had been split up into three commanding areas to effectively deal with criminal elements.

He said that improved law and order situation would benefit industrialists, adding that local industrialists were paying an annual tax revenue of Rs100 billion to the government.

Subsequently, the DC Lasbela informed the IGFC that all law-enforcement agencies were on the same page.

SSP Lasbela also told the IGFC about joint actions taken by Police and FC.

The IGFC praised SSP Lasbela Zia Mandokhail’s role in maintaining the law and order.
