BIRMINGHAM: Fears of the highly anticipated Pakistan-India clash in Birmingham being delayed or affected by the unfortunate terrorist attack in London have been allayed as both teams have arrived at the ground and are currently training ahead of the game.

While security for the match has been increased, both teams arrived on the ground on time and the match is expected to start on time.

The players seem relaxed ahead of the big game and the Pakistan side indulged in a friendly game of football ahead of the match.

Fans in fine voice

While the match is expected to be a fiery affair on the pitch, it will be just as tense and closely fought in the stands; with both Pakistani and Indian fans coming out in numbers at the Edgbaston Cricket Grounds.

Fans gathered at the iconic stadium well before the match, with crowds starting to gather outside it as much as three hours before the scheduled start. Clad in blue or green — depending on the team they supported — the fans were in fine voice as they shouted slogans such as Pakistan Zindabad along with the names of their favourite players.
