Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the Saturday night "terrorist attacks" in London and extended his support to the United Kingdom.

In a statement, the premier said the government of Pakistan and its people stand in solidarity with Britain in this sad moment.

At least seven people were killed and 48 injured in two separate incidents in the British capital. First a van veered wildly into pedestrians crossing London Bridge, with those who managed to avoid the attack rushing to aid those who were hit. Then the stabbing spree began in the popular Borough district on the south side of the bridge. Three attackers were also killed.
