The new app called Scan turns physical documents into digital documents enabling users to edit them. Scan which is available on both iOS and Android allows you to take a photo of documents or use an image from a camera roll.
"Adobe Scan turns your phone or tablet into a powerful scanning and text recognition tool that converts printed text into digital text that can then be re-used wherever you need it," according to a blog post.

Scan uses Adobe's Sensei, the company's machine learning platform, to detect words, borders and more and makes the documents editable and searchable.

The app isn’t completely accurate with some Android users complaining that certain documents were not editable. Even though it doesn't seem to work perfectly, the need for such an app is paramount and Scan is certainly a great step forward to fill the void. Hopefully, the algorithm will improve over time.
