Protesters gathered at Circle Office and demanded increase in salaries, and merger of ad hoc allowance in their salary

BAHAWALPUR: All Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Worker Union Bahawalpur staged a protest demonstration in favour of their demands.

The protesters gathered at Circle Office and demanded increase in salaries, and merger of ad hoc allowance in their salaries. They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with their demands.

All Pakistan WAPDA Hydroelectric Worker Union’s Zonal Chairperson Fayyaz Khan Baloch, Zonal Secretary Chaudhry Zulfiqar, Model Town Divisional Chairperson Shafi Saleem and others participated in the rally. The protesters said the union was a representative party of thousands of workers and we will continue to raise voice on all platforms for the rights of the workers.

‘Poor’ MPAs raise demand for salary increase, again

They said due to increasing inflation, workers were facing severe financial difficulties and it had become impossible to make ends meet. They demanded that employee’s ad hoc relief allowance should be merged in the salaries and their salaries are increased in accordance with the increase in rate of inflation.

The protesters demanded the government to take notice of the situation and address their grievances.
