KHANPUR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI) organised a rally on Saturday to protest the suicide attacks on the party rally earlier this week.

The rally started from Jamia Abdullah Bin Masood mosque and culminated near Raazi chowk, where protesters offered their condolences to the families of the victims.

The participants chanted slogans against those involved in the attacks and blamed the government for not providing adequate security for the rally. A number of speakers, including Maulana Habibur Rehman Darkhawasti, Hafiz M Akbar and Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed, addressed the rally.

“The government is to blame for not giving us any security. We have been attacked twice in the same week,” said Maulana Ahmed.
