Incidents claim four lives in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: At least four people, including two women, lost their lives in different incidents in Faisalabad on Thursday. A police official said 50-year-old Sadiq, a resident of Ayub Colony, was riding a motorcycle when a speedy rickshaw hit him. As a result, he was killed on the spot. In another incident, Nasreen Bibi, 40, a resident of Mansoorabad, died of cardiac arrest while she was shopping in a Sasta Bazaar on Sarogodha Road.

Meanwhile, Abdul Ghaffar, 45, lost his life when he fell from the roof of his house.

In yet another incident, Saima Bibi, a resident of Chak 73, committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills after an argument with her in-laws over a domestic dispute.

Meanwhile. Price Control Magistrate Riaz Hussain Anjum imposed a fine of Rs24,000 on nine shopkeepers for overcharging and profiteering. The magistrate also issued warning to the shopkeepers and asked them to mend their ways or face strict legal action.
