The sister duo behind peacelovefashionkarachi reminisce about their childhood antics. From making prank calls, to their spontaneous travel adventures, these siblings have been through it all

What’s your first memory of each other?

Nimrah: Pure joy and ecstasy. I was super excited to learn I had a baby sister to play with. I was totally obsessed with her.

Nisha: I just remember being glued to her all the time since the very beginning. Wanting to dress like her, wanting to do the same things as her, basically I remember being her minion haha.

What’s the craziest thing you have done together?

Nimrah: We have done many crazy things together (better left unsaid) but the strangest, weirdest and craziest thing was when we prank called our father as revenge for telling us off (we were kids, okay, teenagers lol).

Nisha: One crazy memory that specifically stands out is when we were both at university in London and randomly decided to pick up our back packs and hop on the first train that took us out of London with no prior travel plans or hotel booking, and even no permission from the parents. Needless to say, that trip turned out to be one hell of an adventure.

What did you get punished for the most as a child?

Nimrah: Nothing really, I was a pretty perfect child.

Nisha: I was extremely sporty as a child and would always end up breaking windows while playing cricket or breaking my mother’s favourite decoration pieces whilst attempting to play basketball indoors. However, my sister always had my back and would actually get me out of being punished for causing such damages.

If you could only wear one piece of clothing for the rest of your life, from the others closet, what would it be?

Nimrah: Nisha has an amazing collection of Missoni tops; I’d take them all.

Nisha: I love my sister’s entire wardrobe but recently, I managed to sneak out one of her maternity t-shirts and it’s so comfortable, I could literally live in that t-shirt forever!

If you could swap places with each other, what’s the first thing you would do?

Nimrah: Go back to London and do my Ph.D.

Nisha: Hand over all my shoes to my sister, hehe.

What is the one thing you love about your sibling?

Nimrah: The bond that we share. We have grown up being very close to each other and I love how loving, compassionate and caring my sister is.

Nisha: She is always there for me, no matter what.

If you are fighting with each other, how do you make up?

Nimrah: She says sorry, I just sit and wait.

Nisha: We rarely ever get into fights but I am always the first one to say sorry, even when it’s not my fault, somehow that’s just how it’s always been.

What is the one secret talent that your sibling has, that you wish you did too?

Nimrah: It’s not a secret talent, but my sister is a phenomenal dancer. I wish I could dance like that.

Nisha: She knows all the latest make-up hacks and tricks and is really good at contouring and highlighting. I always turn to her to help me “bake my face” and give me other make-up tips. Wish I had that kind of skill and knowledge about all the latest products out there and how to use them correctly.

Describe your sibling in the three words:

Nimrah: Protective, genuine and a free spirit.

Nisha: Responsible, caring and generous.

Which fictional character is your sibling most like?

Nimrah: Rachel Green from Friends.

Nisha: Daenerys Targaryen (Khaleesi) from The Game of Thrones! Just as magnificent.

How are your personalities similar?

Nimrah: We are pretty similar. Growing up so close to one another influenced our personalities too. We are still referred to as twins even though we have an age gap of a year and a half. We barely disagree, which is probably one of the biggest reasons why we never really fought as kids.

Nisha: We both have very strong morals and almost always have the same opinions and viewpoints on matters. In fact, I think we have almost identical minds and are borderline telepathic, haha.

I can’t live without my sister because…..

Nimrah: I can’t live without my sister because she is my sanity. I can’t make a decision without running it by her first. The bond I share with her is the most special bond I have formed with anyone in my life. She completes me.

Nisha: Because she is my OXYGEN! Love her more than anything or anyone, sorry Mum and Dad! Xoxo.
