LAHORE: It seems like Meera just cannot catch a break.

The latest misfortune to befall Lollywood’s favourite diva is that the footage of her song from upcoming film Shor Sharaba has been 'stolen' or 'deleted', noted producer Sohail Khan.

Meera allegedly creates scene at PILAC event over Rs25,000 attendance fee

According to reports, the song was choreographed by Indian artist Reshma Khan, thereby making it the most expensive sequence from the film. The team had apparently spent Rs 1 million on filming the sequence that revolved around the wedding of Meera’s character. What adds salt to her wounds is that the lost song comprised most of her screen time in Shor Sharaba, as the actor has more of an extended cameo in the film. The song was meant to signal Meera’s comeback to Lollywood and she was quite enthusiastic about it.

“It’s true that Meera’s song has gone missing and we’re all really worried. We’ve been trying our best to figure out what happened as 80% of the footage has simply vanished into thin air,” Sohail told The Express Tribune. “We only found out it was missing during the editing process. Meera is a very important member of our cast and we are trying our very best to find the footage.”

Meera’s bag reportedly 'vanishes' in Dubai

Shor Sharaba is a romantic-comedy directed by Indian film-maker Hasnain Haiderabadwala. Other than Meera, the cast comprises of a host of local stars such as Rabi Pirzada, Adnan Khan, Nisho Begum, Meebal Khan and Sakhawat Naz.

Scheduled for Eidul Fitr release, the trailer of Shor Sharaba was unveiled recently.
