Hundreds of employees participated in the rallies under the patronage of All Pakistan Clerks Association that were taken out from Fawara Chowk, Customs House and Tariq Chowk. The rallies were led by Abdul Rehman Sanghera, Muhammad Afzal and Muneer Baloch. Later, the rallies culminated at Nawa Shehar.
APHC Protest: Indian atrocities condemned
The protesters were carrying banners inscribed with their demands and shouted slogans against the government. The protesters called for curbing rising inflation and demanded more employment opportunities.
They said the government had failed to meet the needs of APCA workers and urged the authorities to increase their salaries on priority. Meanwhile, the APCA leaders threatened to stage sit-in at Punjab assembly and Parliament House if their demands were not fulfilled.
