Overseas Pakistanis: Expats credited with economic growth

Commission has so far received about 7,000 complaints during the last two years

LAHORE: Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Afzaal Bhatti has said overseas Pakistanis were the real asset of the country and playing a pivotal role in economic uplift of the country. He expressed these views while talking to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Abdul Basit, Senior Vice President Amjad Ali Jawa and Vice President Nasir Hameed Khan on Thursday. “The OPC intends to establish working relations with the LCCI as collaboration between the two institutions will help yield positive results,” he added. He said Pakistanis could register their complaints from any part of the world through a web complaint portal while a 24/7 helpline has also been established for those overseas Pakistanis who do not have access to the internet. He said the commission has so far received about 7,000 complaints during the last two years.
