Police encounter: Two bandits gunned down in Sheikhupura

The police was taking accused Qaiser and Fayaz for recovery when their accomplices opened fire

SHEIKHUPURA: At least two bandits were killed during an encounter with police in Sheikhupura on Thursday.

District Police Officer Sarfaraz Khan Virk said seven armed bandits were depriving the citizens of their valuables near Miley Buland area. He added, “When the dacoits spotted the police, they opened fire on the policemen and an encounter took place.” He maintained the police retaliated and as a result, two bandits were killed on the spot while five of their accomplices fled the scene.

The police also confiscated weapons, currency, cell phones, and other valuables from their possession.Meanwhile, two robbers were shot dead during a shoot-out between the police and their accomplices in Faisalabad.

The police was taking accused Qaiser and Fayaz for recovery when their accomplices opened fire on the police team in an attempt to free them. The police retaliated and during the shoot-out, both robbers were killed.
