While trends fade, style remains eternal and one piece can be put together in many different ways. In this feature we have three fashionistas showing us how to put together an item from a designers collection, according to their own individual style and taste!

Generation by Khadija Rehman’s Organza dupatta from the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2017 ‘Bring Basant Back’ collection is the ultimate example of a fusion piece — One can make a true Western to Eastern statement in it. The sheer fabric with the abstract embossed print is sure to make a lasting impression! Drape it or wrap it — It’s the perfect balance between East meets West!

There is so much that one could do with this dupatta! I chose to drape it over one shoulder, wore a white tank underneath it with wide legged cropped trousers. To style the piece, I wore white statement lace up heels. I wanted to make the look subtly glamorous yet minimalistic so I completed the look with a voluminous blow-dry; and applied some eyeliner and a bright lip color. Keeping my entire look in mind, I would wear this outfit to a dinner party or a formal occasion!

I absolutely loved this dupatta by Generation! It’s classic yet impactful. I chose to wear it as a wrap and belted it with a pearl belt. My style is always more classic so I stuck to simple high-waist blue jeans and a white crop top; I wanted the dupatta to talk for itself. I used my shoes to add a pop of color and went for statement maroon and black Dolce&Gabbana studded heels. I don’t tend to wear too much make up so I decided to go with a deep lip and neutral make up. I would wear this outfit to a formal dinner or social gathering.

The dupatta was such a versatile piece that it could easily be paired with western or eastern clothes. I decided to go for a western look and tried to make it look like more of a wrap as opposed to a dupatta! I chose to go with a black lacy halter crop top, black flared pants and strappy heels. I wore gold earrings and bangles to break the monochrome situation in my outfit! I decided to go for smoldering smoky eyes and gave my hair loose waves. This outfit is great for a night out or even to a dholki for that matter!
