MARDAN: Instead of milkman it was the police knocking at the doors of the people early on Monday morning in the Shehbaz Garhi area of Mardan. During the combing operation at dawn, police searched 410 houses and hauled away 52 men besides recovering arms and ammunition. Police officials said the arrested people included two alleged facilitators of terrorists. Six people were detained for not providing details of their tenants to the police. Moreover, 41 suspects were taken into custody for possession of firearms and drugs. Police also caught two wanted criminals and a proclaimed offender during the search. During the search, police seized three AK-47 assault rifles, 19 rifles of various calibres, 40 pistols and bullets.
