But one victim mustered the courage to tell the police which managed to apprehend one gang suspected member. A*, a student of ninth grade, had filed a complaint with the Civil Lines police that her friends had introduced her to four young men. Her friends then took her to the house of a woman called Musarrat where the four men were waiting for her.
“I was first raped at Musarrat’s house,” said A, adding that her ordeal did not stop here since the men filmed her. A claimed that the group, which includes the two men and two women, blackmailed her with the videos. “The blackmailers asked me to pay them Rs500,000 otherwise they would upload the videos on social media,” she said.
However, after she lodged the complaint, Civil Lines SHO Malik Abdul Aziz picked up a suspected member of the gang. District police chief Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani said the gang would not be spared and urged other victims of the gang to come forward and testify.
