PTI Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan, after chairing a meeting of the party’s district leadership, said, “Agitation, campaigns and protests have started across the country against the corruption of the ruling family. Lawyers, political parties and people have been demanding that the prime minister tender his resignation immediately.”
Aleem added that if premier Sharif did not step down then people would take to the streets as the people of Pakistan want to get rid of corrupt rulers. He underscored that the court’s verdict proved that the prime minister and his offspring were involved in looting the exchequer.

The party’s central Punjab president said, “The court rejected the Qatari prince’s letter in defence of the premier’s family. Now they should use this letter to sell pakoras and samosas as it had no significance in the eyes of the court.”
The meeting also discussed arrangements of the party’s April 28 gathering in Islamabad and also assigned duties to local district office-bearers. It was decided in the meeting that the party will take its struggle against corruption to its logical end.
The meeting was also attended by district presidents of Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Mandi Bahaudin, Gujrat, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Hafizabad and Kasur.
