Academic reforms: UAF, German varsities ink research deal

MoU agrees to make collective efforts to boost research and capacity building by exchanging academic information.

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad has signed agreements with two German universities to collaborate in research, academia, capacity building and student-teachers’ exchange programmes.

The first Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) was inked by UAF Vice-Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan and University of Bonn’s Dr Bernhard Tischbein whereas Christopher Willi Conrad from University of Wurzburg signed the second MoU.

The UAF and University of Bonn will cooperate in academic research and establishing projects in future. Both  varsities will work jointly on modern technologies to reduce water intensive cotton production.

The MoU between UAF and Julius-Maximilians University of Wurzburg agreed to make collective efforts to boost research and capacity building by exchanging academic information and providing opportunities for interactions between students and faculty of both universities.

They would also support activities such as joint research, conference and seminars.
