Dar compensates son of deceased worker

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar handed over a cheque of Rs1million as special assistance to Altaf, the son of a census worker Abdul Qadir.

Qadir had died while on duty in a car accident in the Neen Ban village in Mansehra district last month.

The minister had announced compensation for Qadir’s family of soon after the incident.

A primary school teacher, Qadir hailed from the Khun Shakoora village in Mansehra district and was on census duty in Neen Ban when the accident took place. He is survived by a widow, four sons, two daughters, and ageing parents.

The minister expressed condolences over the death of Abdul Qadir and sympathised with members of the bereaved family who met him at the Finance Ministry along with Altaf to receive the compensation.

Altaf has already been granted employment by the education department.
