LCCI takes initiative to improve ties

A special standing committee on industry-academia linkage was also established

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) declared 2017 the year of industry-academia linkage. The decision was made by LCCI President Abdul Basit, Senior Vice President Amjad Ali Jawa and Vice President Muhammad Nasir Hameed Khan in a meeting. A special standing committee on industry-academia linkage was also established, which would be headed by Omar Saleem. The LCCI office-bearers said that the purpose of the initiative was to enhance interaction between the industrial sector and educational institutions. It would help produce skilled human resources as per requirement of the industry.
