Crackdown: Police arrest two spiritual healers

Operation aimed at discontinuing the practise of spiritual healers at shrines, tombs, temples and mosques.

BAHAWALPUR: Authorities have launched a crackdown against fake spiritual healers in southern Punjab and several quacks have been arrested in recent days.

The operation is aimed at discontinuing the practise of spiritual healers at shrines, tombs, temples and mosques.

Police and security agencies have been assigned this special task while investigations are in progress with respect to landlords and shrine custodians as well.

The Rahim Yar Khan City-C police arrested a spiritual healer identified as Shahzad Qadri from Mastaan Shah. The man was accused of swindling money from people by calling himself a spiritual healer.

Police have registered a case against the man and started investigations.
