Teenage boy emasculated, blinded for 'having relationship with girl'

The girl's father allegedly kidnapped the victim and subjected him to extreme brutality in Raiwand

A teenage boy in Punjab's Raiwind had his eyes gouged out and his genitals cut off allegedly for being in a relationship with a girl.

The 15-year-old boy was kidnapped and assaulted by the father of the girl, PTI reported on Wednesday.

The brutal incident occurred in February and came to the light on Tuesday when the family of the victim staged a protest outside the girl’s house to demand action against the culprits.



The girl’s father had allegedly taken the boy to Ravi river where he gouged out his eyes, chopped off his genitals and fled. The victim’s life was saved by passersby who took him to the hospital.

A senior police official, Haider Ashraf, said the five accused named in the FIR have been arrested and further investigations are underway.



"We will submit a charge sheet after completing our investigation," he said.

The victim’s father has claimed that the culprit has the backing of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and requested the chief justice to take notice of the case.
