PM Nawaz Sharif lauds PAF's role in safeguarding air frontiers

PM said government will ensure provision of all resources for further advancement of PAF

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman called upon Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday in Islamabad to brief the PM on the professional and operational preparedness of the Pakistan Air Force, reported Radio Pakistan.



Appreciating the role played by the air force in safeguarding Pakistan's air frontiers, PM Nawaz said that the air force has invariably played a crucial role in national defence.

Speaking to the Air Cheif, the PM added that his government will ensure provision of all necessary resources for the further advancement of the Pakistan Air Force.

Earlier this month, the PAF's Elite Squadron [9 squadro]) was declared the twin of renowned Illustrious Squadron [9 squadron] of Royal Air Force [RAF] of the United Kingdom at a ceremony held at Masahf base.

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman on the occasion highlighted the contributions of four British commander-in-chiefs of the Pakistan Air Force, who lay the foundation of a nascent air force.
