The state-of-the-art architecture of the tomb is one of the finest historical buildings in the subcontinent and attracts a lot of local and foreign tourists.
An official of the Punjab Archaeological Department said the renovation of the tomb started in 2012 and around 80% work has been completed.
The remaining work would be completed by June 2018.
Before the renovation work began, the walls of the tomb were dilapidated and its gardens wore a deserted look. Local as well as foreigners visiting the tomb have also appreciated the restoration work.
