From winning a cricket match to Independence Day, Pakistanis know how to celebrate with zeal and fervour. A few men in Punjab, however, went a step further by making an occasion out of their friend buying a new phone.

One can't help boasting about buying a brand new iPhone, but what do you do when your friends do it for you? Hafiz Waqas Muzammil's friends Sharjeel Butt and Adnan Mian Khan not only published an ad in a local newspaper celebrating Muzammil's purchase of an iPhone 7 Plus, but also arrived at his house with drums and garlands.

The ad read, "We extend our heartiest congratulations to Hafiz Waqas Muzammil on purchasing an iPhone 7 Plus."

A video showing dozens of men and children, along with Butt and Khan dancing towards Muzammil's house and presenting him garlands soon made rounds on television and social media.

MJ-Sid | 7 years ago | Reply @Ashfaq Sheikh ... charity begins at home. Why don't you sell your house donate half of the proceedings and move into a 2 room hut at the outskirts of your city? Spending power is all relative and so is charity. You don't know if the owner of the iPhone7 is already generously donating to the causes of the poor. Don't try to shame people if they buy stuff with earning made in a rightful way.
