Eight suspects arrested from Pasni

QUETTA: Security forces on Sunday arrested eight suspects for having links with banned outfits from the Pasni area of Balochistan.

According to details, security forces launched a search operation in Pasni’s ward number 5 and rounded up eight persons.

The accused were identified as Ahmed Faisal, Asif Aadil, Saleem, Allah Bakhsh, Imran and Majid.

Earlier in March, police arrested two suspects linked with proscribed organisations and have also recovered a huge cache of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from their custody.

In a news conference, the Deputy Inspector General of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Balochistan Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya said that the CTD has recovered 1,933 different kinds of weapons in as many as 908 IBOs and 1,380 combing operations.
