QUETTA: Two more mutilated bodies of Baloch missing persons were found near Vendar in Lasbela district on Wednesday morning.

The bodies were identified as those of Arif Noor, an official of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), and Nawaz Mari, a resident of Vendar. The identity was determined after slips were found in the pockets which had their names written on them.

Noor was abducted about five months ago from Gwadar while Mari was abducted from his home-town of Vendar on January 5. It is not immediately clear who abducted both men or why.

“The victims were tortured before being killed,” said sources at the hospital.

Noor’s family members had organised a hunger strike camp in Quetta last month.

The family members accused security forces and security agencies of illegally detaining Noor.

For all intents and purposes, it is evident that the Pakistani establishment is wiping out Balochs from their own land.
