LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge has sought comments from Allama Iqbal Town SHO on a petition filed by famous stage actor Tariq Teddi.

The performer has requested the court to order police register a case against his wife for threatening him in order to mint money after separation.

Tariq submitted that he had divorced his wife, Asma Riaz, and after separation he had been depositing maintenance money regularly in court for their daughter, who is living with her mother.

On March 11, he said Asma along with some men barged into his house and threatened him with dire consequences.

He alleged the accused was doing all this to merely blackmail him as well as to mint money from him.

He requested the court to direct the SHO concerned to register a case against the respondent.
