Young girl dies from injection given by quack in Multan

Atiya died 10 minutes after being administered the injection

MULTAN: A young girl has died after allegedly being administered an injection by a quack at Tibbi Balochan in Multan District, according to the local police.

Nasir Baloch said that after his 10-year-old daughter Atiya complained about pain in her ear, he took her to a nearby clinic run by Waqas, a self-proclaimed health practitioner.



The girl died within ten minutes of being given the injection, Baloch claimed.

After finding out about her death, Waqas fled the clinic, he added.

Local police said that a case has been registered against Waqas and an investigation into the incident is under way.
