HARIPUR: A married woman attempted suicide by consuming poison in a remote Haripur village. However, doctors were able to provide her with timely medical care and save her life. Saddar police said that 28-year-old Sm a resident of Nartopa village in Pind Hashim Khan had exchanged harsh words with her mother-in-law about taking care of her two minor children. Known to be short tempered, S’ husband said his wife went into her bedroom and locked the door from the inside. But they broke into the room and found her lying unconscious on the bed with a bottle of insecticide next to her. She was rushed to the Women and Children’s Hospital in Haripur. Doctors washed out her stomach and saved her, police and doctors said. Doctors further described her condition to be out of danger.  However, police have filed a case against her for attempting suicide.
