LAHORE: The first-ever facility for people suffering from auto-immune diseases like arthritis and disorders of joints was inaugurated at the Shaikh Zayed Hospital on Wednesday. The department was inaugurated by President College of Physician and Surgeons Pakistan Dr Zafarullah Chaudhry and Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Chairman Dr Farid Ahmad Khan. Dr Farid appreciated efforts to start the first-ever such facility at a public sector teaching hospital on the provincial level. Dr Zafarullah hailed the initiative by Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex to provide treatment for patients suffering from auto-immune diseases and to impart training to young doctors who wish to specialise in the subject of rheumatology.
