Last week, Rano’s Heirlooms showcased the coveted brand’s ‘Asmaan Talay Sitaray’ collection in Lahore through a solo, Instagram Muse Show. The multi-faceted Rehan Bashir directed the show, and Khadija Malik who wore a breathtaking, classic white sari by Rano’s Heirlooms mediated it. The beautiful clothes were accessorised with timeless jewellery from Amrapali Jewels. From delicate pink numbers to rich velvet silhouettes, the collection saw an array of designs, and proved the design houses’ ranging dimension as an artist. The magnificent backdrop, the heirloom-worthy ensembles modelled on some of Rano’s muses, and the artistic way in which the show unfolded, told a brilliant tale of art and culture. According to the designer, the collection is a culmination of her career, as it showcases her evolution as an artist, who has worked hard and has a raw passion for designing. She feels that the women who walked the ramp symbolise independence, strength and ambition. They are women who stand their own ground and walk their own path, much like Rano herself.
