Aiming high: Technical education essential for bright future, speakers say

FAISALABAD: It is essential to equip students with technical education to help boost their capabilities. It will also help the country to move to the new horizon of development.

These views were expressed by speakers during a prize distribution ceremony of essay writing competition. The event was held at Pasban Technical Training Centre on Tuesday.

Brig (r) Abdul Aziz was the chief guest on the occasion.

On the occasion, Abdul Aziz said imparting of technical education to the country’s youth was imperative and need of the hour as we could overcome our economic problems and end unemployment after producing skilled workers.

He suggested that car mechanic course, Chinese language and other courses should also be taught to the youth.

Meanwhile, Pasban Group chairperson Shahnawaz said more than 3,000 students have completed their courses in solar technology, computer hardware, refrigeration & air conditioning, mobile repairing, motorcycle repairing and etc. “All individuals are now working in different institutions and earning a respectable livelihood,” he maintained.

He pointed out toolkits were also provided to the students to prepare them for jobs. He said new technical courses to promote technical education will be included soon.

At the end of the event, prizes were distributed among the position holders of essay writing competition.
