Indian temple sells 'magical' pens that guarantee students good grades

The pen also allegedly 'relieves stress'

Board exams in India have students worried and a Gujarat temple has the solution to student's stress - a magical pencil with a 100% guarantee that the student will pass their exams. In fact, the temple is so confident, they also offer a money back guarantee.

Leaflets advertising the product mention in Gujrati a Hanuman sevak called Dushyant Bapuji who claims that the pen has supernatural abilities as it was obtained after conducting a Hanuman Saraswati Yagya.



The leaflet's target audience are parents, as it asks the questions, "Do you want your child to pass his exams? Are you worried that your child may lose a year due to poor results? Do you wish for your child to pass his Class 8, 9, SSC, HSC or College exams?"

The leaflet also claims the pen "relieves stress" allowing students to score higher.

The price of the pen is set at a steep $29, but the consolation it offers is a full refund if the student still happens to fail the exam.

The temple's extreme seriousness about its product can be seen from the fact that it asks for various details, including phone number, exam receipt and a copy of the student's school or college ID, before allowing anyone to purchase the pen.
