Veena Malik and Asad Khattak divorce: What we know now

Will she go ahead with her decision?

LAHORE: Actor Veena Malik has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of three years. While her husband, Asad Khattak, was on a trip to the US earlier this year, Veena decided she wanted to leave him.

The Gali Gali Chor Hai star filed for divorce on January 30 in Dubai. "There were issues between Veena and Asad but noone knew about it. Asad is still in shock after she filed for divorce. Asad will try his best to continue the marriage because he does not think it is a practical decision, especially now that there are kids involved," a source close to Asad told The Express Tribune.

Well, it does seem like Asad is trying his best to keep the marriage going! "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. I LOVE U my world," he tweeted earlier this month.

On Veena's birthday last month, Asad tweeted, "Special thanks to an angel who changed my life, you truly made my life bliss! Happy birthday my love, my world." Surprisingly, Veena has been re-tweeting his posts as well.

According to the insider, the differences between the two started when Veena resumed working in showbiz. "They started fighting a lot when she began participating in the entertainment industry again," added the source. The couple has two children together, Abram and Amal.
