On March 5, London-based game developer Shahid Kamal Ahmad tweeted about randomly meeting King Khan six years ago.
Six years ago today the one and only @iamsrk treated me to dinner in Langkawi. We worked on a game together. He is a complete gentleman.

Ahmad wrote how he wasn't a fan of SRK when he was young and a cynic. However, his perception of the Bollywood superstar changed when he interacted with him and was shocked by his humbleness and decency.
Shah Rukh Khan says he's the most photogenic Bollywood celeb
I didn’t like Shah Rukh’s films when I was young. I was a cynic and begrudged success. He changed me. Now I smile when my wife watches. :)

He showed me just how gracious and decent an extraordinarily gifted and successful man can be. Nice guys don’t have to finish last.

Not only was Ahmad impressed by SRK, he said his life dramatically changed after the meeting. SRK taught him about the "power of service" and why it matters.
Because of the humility SRK emanated, Ahmad said he decided to change his way of looking at things, bringing that attitude to all the future dealings in his life.
It wasn’t a put-on. No act. That was the thing. That was just how he was. I realised I had to change from within to match that attitude.

As if to add colours in Kamal’s beautiful story, the King Khan joined the Twitter thread and made a reply that must have made his day once again.
how r u my man. Miss you. U showed respect to taking Indian film stuff into gaming. Thanks. Be well

“I’d like to thank Shah Rukh for transforming my life from the lazy, arrogant guy I was to someone prepared to work harder than I imagined possible, to be kind, to listen, to be present and focused and to live life with passion and an attitude of service,” Kamal later said in an interview with Buzzfeed.
The story proves how decency, humility can change perspectives people hold about us.
